Rating Engine
We have made improvements to the rating engine
that increases the speed that the system is able to generate rates. There are
other minor changes to the rating, but the speed improvement is the most
noticeable enhancement. This is the first step in a continuing project to
modernize the rating engine and make sure that it is the most advanced rating
engine available.
Dispute Log for Accounting
We have added a dispute log that will help
your AR and AP department keep track of pricing and rating issues with carriers
and customers. This functionality will improve on the existing “On Hold” button
in the AP section. When you add a shipment to the dispute log it will not be
displayed on the confirm invoice and the receive payables sections. This is
designed to keep these issues out of the way so they can be handled more
carefully.
There is also an option to select the type of
dispute. Selecting the dispute type will give you the ability to keep track of
the number and frequency of disputes that come up for specific carriers. The
type of dispute can also be customized to show whatever works best for your
company.
Accounting Updates
We have fixed a few more issues with the
Accounting integration. For QuickBooks users, the primary change is in the way
we process credits. For Great Plains users, the AR Payment Posting has been
updated to allow for support of the Great Plains Advanced AR module.
Navigation Menu
The navigation menu at the top of the page has
been moved up and no longer scrolls with the page. We have also removed the
header image on secondary pages so that it will no longer take space away from
your working area. Keep in mind that all customer pages will continue to show
the full header. This part of the update is the first step in additional
navigation and home page changes that are intended to modernize Trinnos
Edge.
Electronic Dispatching
For LTL shipments we have been working hard to
add support for electronic dispatching. We currently support a limited number
of carriers but are adding more rapidly. With the electronic dispatching we are
able to send the shipment directly to the carrier and get back the pickup
confirmation number with the click on a button.
General Updates
As we do with all of the system updates, we
have included many smaller updates that are designed to help improve usability
of the application. We have not listed the specific updates, but we have
addressed many of the enhancement requests submitted by our users.
